The follower who submitted his piece about Joe Biden, has submitted another about Donald Trump. Again I consider it suitable to post. A bit late in the day perhaps, but better late than never they say.
His middle name is John. Ultimately from the Hebrew meaning ‘God is gracious’. Rather better than Joe Biden’s Robinette I think.
That is not a reason to vote for Trump tomorrow if you haven’t already, but it is worth having a name like that, assuming you live up to it.
Many people think he is far from gracious, Trump that is. People think that about God too.
Still, this article is not about God, but Donald Trump. People have been very rude about him I have noted. You can look up the things they have said.
I thought I would look at his first name as well. Donald seems to come from the Scottish Gaelic ‘Dòmhnall’ which apparently means ‘prince or chief of the world’. As the incumbent president of the States might be considered amongst the chief leaders of the world, such a name is highly apt.
It seems obvious that the meaning is correct, as the Don of Donald and the Dom of Dòmhnall can mean ‘lord’ or ‘head’ in various languages.
The other part can just be ‘n all’, ‘lord an all’, or ‘lord of all’ perhaps. Donald Trump is not lord of all, as that is God of course, who watches over all.
He went to Sunday School, Donald that is (!), according the main Wikipedia page on him, and had a Christian upbringing. He now identifies as a non-denominational Christian.
Well, I was brought up going to Sunday school too, and what might be best described as an Anglican, or Church of England background. Now I just follow Jesus Christ. I don’t want a label of any kind – my name describes me well enough I think.
He is on his third wife, having divorced twice. I find that disappointing in my books; Joe Biden has only married twice and not divorced. However, as I pointed out about Joe, there are some serious issues to look at as to the circumstances of his first wife’s death.
Donald has been married to Melania now for about the same length as his first wife – perhaps he can beat his record, and stay married for at least another year!
Sexual misconduct allegations
Wikipedia says ‘Trump has a history of insulting or demeaning comments against women.’
‘At least twenty-six women have publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct as of September 2020, including his then-wife Ivana. There were allegations of rape, violence, being kissed and groped without consent, looking under women’s skirts, and walking in on naked women. In 2016, he denied all accusations, calling them “false smears”, and alleged there was a conspiracy against him.’
I find the accuracy of Wikipedia poor at times; in September 2020, Ivana was his ex-wife, not his then-wife.
He certainly seems to have been insulting to women, especially those he considers fat. I suppose he likes the slim ones, he certainly goes for the high cheek bone look.
I don’t think insulting women is a good idea at all. They struggle too often with their appearance.
Rosie O’Donnell seems a case in point. From the online pictures she looks quite attractive when younger. I can, however, see why Donald is reported as saying “a fat, ugly face.” From the link in Wikipedia.
She has put on weight and it doesn’t suit her, and yes I’m afraid it does make her rather unattractive, which would be a diplomatic way of saying it. As I am aware of the benefits vitamin D in metabolism, perhaps she could use this knowledge.
The same link above says
In March 2012, Mr. Trump attacked Cher, the singer and actress, over her criticism of Republican candidates running for office, saying on Twitter that she should “stop with the bad plastic surgery and nasty statements.”
This link has some information on Cher.
She is reported to have said
If ROMNEY gets elected I don’t know if I can breathe same air as Him & His Right Wing Racist Homophobic Women Hating Tea Bagger Masters.
This is interesting
Wikipedia says on her main page
Author Grant McCracken, in his book Transformations: Identity Construction in Contemporary Culture (2008), draws a parallel between Cher’s plastic surgeries and the transformations in her career: “Her plastic surgery is not merely cosmetic. It is hyperbolic, extreme, over the top
So whilst Trump was unkind to Rosie O’Donnell, he seems to have made a fair point over Cher. Cher was a beautiful woman when she was young, but it does her no credit to act in this way. I wish she could be healed and back to what she was when she sang ‘I’ve got you babe’ with Sonny, her then-husband (proper use of ‘then’ please note!!).
Trump has been accused of various false statements. I will look at one here.
“Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu,” wrote Trump. “Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!”
Well, I agree with Baldmichael on this; Covid is the ‘flu, no more, no less. Very nasty if your immune system is down, no more than a cold if you are in good shape.
You don’t shut down an economy for the ‘flu, unless you are completely mad. But it seems many state governors have done just that, 24 Democrats to 19 Republicans
Seven states (Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming) did not issue state-wide stay-at-home orders.
It is interesting that no Democrat Governors refrained from issuing stay-at-home orders.
I have to say that when the 2016 elections were going on (I am from the UK), I thought that both candidates were poor. I felt very sorry for the people of the U.S.A.
However, whilst people were saying in the UK that Trump was an idiot, once I started looking at what he was doing and actually saying, I began to wonder. I could not understand all the vitriol against him, it seemed excessive to say the least.
He appears to have done some good things for the United States, and many people are saying online, that whilst they don’t like Trump on a personal level, they will vote for him because he has sought the welfare of the people, including the African-Americans.
So believe that a vote for Trump tomorrow will be a vote for the right decisions to be made at presidential level.
I am sorry I could not do more in at this stage, and extend the article further. I have been struggling with my health, and left things a bit late. I hope it helps.
So there we have it. Thank you, sir for your research. It seems fair. Between us perhaps we may look further at Trump if it is necessary.
As regards the election outcome, I have posted in comments on peoples blogs that I am looking at 66% of the popular vote, and over 75% of the Electoral College. I think that means in reality 38 States for Trump, 12 against.
This is interesting as I like the significance of numbers. 12 is Loopy Lucy’s number, as Lammed is the 12th Hebrew letter. So 12 States for Satan. Makes sense.
38 is twice 19. Twice the Covid number 19, obviously. I have said Covid stands for, amongst other things (I have at least 7 different meanings so far), vitamin C and vitamin D. Both of which we need for healing our bodies.
So perhaps this number of States would be a double healing, a double blessing if you will for America. Yes, I’ll go with that, I like that.
In the meantime, I will sign out with a favourite song of mine, Nelly the Elephant. If you know it you will understand; if you don’t look up the lyrics.
The version I prefer is that by the Toy Doll’s, a raw punk rock version (but not rude, in case you wonder). I post a link here if you need it. Completely bonkers, but I love it.
And for those of you who support Trump, I have my version of the lyrics for your consideration below. And for someone to put the music to if they will.
Please note I mean no disrespect in the title – it just suits the fact that Trump runs on a Republican ticket, and the symbol of the Republicans is the elephant.
And go Donald, go!
Donald the Elephant The definitive version!!
