Faith Masks

Should Christians wear faith masks? A fair question. However, the answer is obviously no. Why do you want to hide your faith? After all you have something worth sharing, why keep it from the world?

If you can’t faith the world, where is your faith? Hidden away in the closet of your heart where it will linger and wither if you don’t share it. If you believe your faith is true why hide the Truth from those who don’t have the Truth?

What about face masks? What are they hiding? Do you think your face is not worth seeing? Do you believe all the lies about infection and that face masks will somehow prevent it? What are you afraid of? Where is your faith?

And where is your face? Did not God reveal His face to us in Jesus Christ? ‘He who has seen me, has seen the Father’ Jesus said. Jesus did not hide his face. The disciples saw Him and as john said ‘The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.’

In the Old Testament it is written:

Exodus 33:11a ‘Thus the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.’

The following passage is said to speak of Jesus.

Isaiah 53:2-3

He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no stately form or majesty to attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

So it seems that today, when so many hide behind their masks that they, the mask wearers, want to conceal themselves from God.

But He is not mocked, and He sees behind the mask. He knows the thoughts of their hearts.

So if you follow Jesus Christ and wish to know the Father, don’t wear a faith mask. Or a face mask (except when it is sensible – see M is for…..Masks).

The world needs to see your face and your faith to see you are not afraid.

If you persist in wearing a faith mask, let alone a face mask when you shouldn’t, you will end up standing before the Father and His Son Jesus and having to explain your actions.

This can be said to face the music that is to receive punishment, to accept the unpleasant results of one’s actions.

Jesus said ‘If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.’

You don’t want to be ashamed, do you?

And I assume you don’t want to have to faith the music for wearing a faith mask!

P.S. There is the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) which has recently issued new advice on Coronavirus, including posters for display. Link below.

The mask poster looks very suspicious. Two horns on top. Mmm…

I have done a new poster showing what I think the poster is missing. What do you think? Not perhaps for the faint-hearted or easily frightened; you have been warned! Link below.

Possible mask of the beast

And if you haven’t seen it here is my post on Mark of the Beast

Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector'sson. When not posting pages or paging posties, trying to be a good husband, and getting over a long term health issue, I am putting the world to rights. I have nothing better to do, so why not? But of course that includes dancing, being funny (in more than one sense), poking fun at life, poking fun at myself, deflating the pompous, reflating the sad. Seeking to heal the whole of the soul (and body where possible). In short making life as good as it possibly can be for others as well as myself. You can't say fairer than that. But if you can, please say. People need to know.
