I gather, according to Cherie White, that Ovid , the Roman poet, said this:
“Be patient and tough; someday this pain will be useful to you.”
This is her website. Worth visiting.
Her tag line on her website is “Exposing Bullies and Liberating Targets to Make The World a Safer Place for All”. This fits in with the two points I mention.
But someone, or something else, said the same as Ovid
