J is for…..Jesus. (Omega)

We have Jesus as a starter and Jesus as a main course, the main man as it were. ‘My main man’ is a phrase of course, meaning:

1. One’s best or very good male friend.

2. One’s male romantic partner or lover.

3. The most influential male in a given group, such as a boss or leader.

But we can have Jesus as a dessert as well. After all, people do say ‘Sweet Jesus’, although they tend to be using it in a contemptuous of irreverent way.

Unless they are singing ‘One day at a time, sweet Jesus’.

But what types of dessert can we have? Well how about these.

Ice cream

Well, as they say, lots of people scream for ice cream, especially children! An anagram of ‘An ice cream’ is ‘ec American’. Perhaps this is why Americans, at least in the USA, like ice cream so much.

But why should Jesus be ice cream? Maybe because an anagram of ice cream is ‘acme rice’. He is the ‘peak of the rice’, the best rice.

And I see here in old English that ricedom was a kingdom, so Jesus will have the kingdom!

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ricedom#Old_English

And don’t forget that you can have rice pudding, which if made correctly is delicious. Indeed, there is a brand of rice pudding called Ambrosia. Ambrosia was said to be the food of the gods. You can see the link to Jesus I hope.

Fruit pies

Anagrams of these words are:

Feu spirit – fire spirit (feu is ‘fire’ in French). Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit who is described as a fire, who sets our tongues alight to tell the truth in love.

If I purest – Jesus is said to have been tempted, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

U spitfire – He is the fire of God. ‘The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire.’ Revelation 2:18

Pastries

Anagrams of this word are:

As priest – He is the high priest. ‘Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God…’ Hebrews 4:14 part

As stripe – by His stripes we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24

As esprit – esprit is ‘spirit’ in French.

As ripest – He is the fruit at its best.

Ipse star – himself star

Psi stare – psionic

But what about fresh fruit?

Anagrams of this word are:

If RTU – RTU can be according to Wikipedia

‘A remote terminal unit (RTU) is a microprocessor-controlled electronic device that interfaces objects in the physical world to a distributed control system or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system by transmitting telemetry data to a master system, and by using messages from the master supervisory system to control connected objects. Other terms that may be used for RTU are remote telemetry unit and remote telecontrol unit.’

Or to put it more simply He connects us to God the Father!

If rut – if you are in a rut, turn to Jesus.

I turf – sound like Jesus is very ‘turf’, one ‘turf’ cookie!

tough cookie

A strong, determined person who is not easily intimidated, discouraged, or defeated.

From https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/one+tough+cookie

And don’t forget

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:20

Fruit Salad

How about more than one fruit?

Anagrams include:

A fluid star – He is flexible then, He will take you on board with all your flaws

A first laud – sound like we could count Him as a first lord then!

Aid flu star – so He will help against the ‘flu or Covid 19 as it is now known!! Excellent news!

Finally

Well, this is dessert, but what do we make of that?

reset SD – He resets or reformats us like an SD card ready to store good things in our hearts.

De-stress – this is with an extra ‘s’ if we take desserts plural, Jesus de-stresses us.

Des rest – of the (from French) rest, Jesus brings rest.

Des sert – of serves, He is the Servant, setting us an example.

And just to say, without one ‘s’ there is a desert, a dry wilderness of sin.

But Jesus does say ‘…and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’

And at the end of a dessert too!

P.S. Of course, you may prefer cheese to dessert (but you can have both if you wish). So I will do a recipe based on that in due course.

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen these, you may wish to sample them.

J is for…..Jesus (Alpha)

The following is a main course.

Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector'sson. When not posting pages or paging posties, trying to be a good husband, and getting over a long term health issue, I am putting the world to rights. I have nothing better to do, so why not? But of course that includes dancing, being funny (in more than one sense), poking fun at life, poking fun at myself, deflating the pompous, reflating the sad. Seeking to heal the whole of the soul (and body where possible). In short making life as good as it possibly can be for others as well as myself. You can't say fairer than that. But if you can, please say. People need to know.
